This year,
because of changes in the US Energy Policy Act,
Daylight Savings Time start and
end dates have changed from the standard 1st Sunday
in April and the Last Sunday of October. The
new time changes are now the 2nd
Sunday in March (March 11) and the First Sunday in
Novenber (Nov 4.) As a result,
it is possible that the time zone
settings for your computer's system clock may be incorrect
during the new extended Daylight Savings Time and certain
applications running on your computer may not display the
correct time.
To
rectify this problem, Microsoft has issued several Windows
updates and tools. These may need to be applied to all of
your computers. Check Microsoft's website
Deadline to implement change:
Before March 11, 2007
